Spurs should've kept Ange not because it would have saved them from being bad but because goodwill from the trophy would have bought them time to rebuild. Now they've paid off two managers instead of one, the problems are still there and fans no longer believe the next coach will fix it

Oh look, we have a tax-dodging British billionaire who resides in Monaco telling you it’s the immigrants that are stealing all of britains resources, not tax dodging billionaires who reside in fucking Monaco.

Fuck off, Rat.

Thomas Frank at Tottenham: another manager who has previously done well with direct football struggling to adjust to the demands of a bigger club. It basically never works, and clubs should probably stop trying it.

Thomas Frank’s dreadful Spurs spell is latest example that managers simply can’t change style
Tottenham's decision to sack Thomas Frank isn't just bad news for Thomas Frank, it's bad news for managers like him too...

Maybe Tottenham just need to get to a point where they don't need a miracle-worker in the dugout. No point hiring in-form managers from better-run mid-table clubs if you're just going to constantly ignore why said managers worked at Brentford, Brighton & Co. in the first place.

Let's also not revise how good a manager Frank is because he was shit with us and had no plan of attack. Things have gone to pieces at Brentford since he left. They had to hire a rookie manager and sold off key players and they've [checks league table]...that, that can't be...

This is a relief not a reason to celebrate. The board made a mistake in appointing him against their stated aims and then failed to provide the resources to support those aims. But even taking that into account Frank failed, he should have been sacked when it was clear he was unable to scale up.

Ok. You decide to sack Ange. By what fucking metric do you decide as a top club that Thomas Frank is the upgrade that you are banking on. Utter shambles of a club.

Not sure if it was visible on broadcast, but there were multiple occasions in the first half where we had possession on the halfway line and ahead of the ball were two straight lines of static players. Literally no movement from any of them. He did nothing. He’s incompetent and going to relegate us.

There’s quite a bit of arguing in the Spurs online community about whether Frank, Lange, or the board is mostly to blame for the state of the team. But you don’t get this bad on Tottenham’s budget unless it’s all of the above.
not that Thomas Frank has done himself a single favor since taking the Tottenham job, but it really is remarkable to see the impact several years of poor squad building can have on a good team - there's not a lot this team does well and there are very few redeeming qualities

HT 0-1. I've seen some awful first halves from Spurs this season, and that one was right up there with the worst of them. Lucky to only be 1-0 down. Vulnerable to every Newcastle attack and with no plan when they do have the ball.
