you can debate all the other pieces you might want to shuffle, but this team is premised on Auston Matthews being a superstar, and we're now coming up on a year and a half of him being just Very Good. if this is who he is now, this version of the team is over and the Leafs have to act accordingly.

Well, I wouldn’t blame the regular hockey fan for not knowing more than one player on this roster. And the one is also only a bit more known because of his association with the Leafs. If they can squeeze more than a couple of regular NHLers out of this we as fans should be happy.
