They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.

Actually, in order for democracy to return, we need to reform our political system. This can happen when the Democratic Party (which is also beholden to the donor class) returns to power if the public demands it and elects a new crop of reformist Dems. #resist #fascism
The Supreme Court, Presidency, Senate and two party system are all quite anti-democratic institutions as presently constructed.
Our institutions are not only incapable of preventing tyranny—they’re currently enabling it.
