Elon Musk told advertisers to get lost over hate speech issues. In the 1970s, Bob Jones University defied federal authorities over racism. Yet, many liberal institutions struggle to stand firm for the rule of law and democracy. It's good to see WilmerHale supporting what's right.

My crankiest belief is that we are now being sold on solutions to problems which only exist because we've let others convince us they exist. That is what "innovation" seems to be in 2025.

The key difference back then was the lack of unbiased information; there were only Nazi-controlled radios and newspapers. Today, if you're seeking the truth, you have the means to find it.
For historians/ppl who know history: did the German public who were complicit with the rise of nazism ever realize they were the bad guys? After the end of the war, did the public by & large understand they were wrong? Or were they just upset they lost? I know you can’t generalize to everyone but…
