“In Gaza, where war is constant, the internet is lifeblood.”

Israel’s digital siege of Gaza erases our presence & voice—the proof of our existence, writes Taqwa Ahmed Al-Wawi. This is not just missing updates. It is being buried alive in silence.

Wow! France gifted her to us, and now they’ve captured what so many Americans are feeling on Independence Day. The values the Statue of Liberty stood for are no more.

📌 A stunning mural of the Statue of Liberty covering her face was unveiled in Roubaix, France, on July 3, 2025.

No notes
Good:

* Poilievre isn't Prime Minister.
* Poilevre lost his own seat.

Bad:

* Everything has shifted substantially rightward.
* 40% of popular vote and +20 seats for Cons.
* Basically a two-party parliament of centre right and far right.
* Left leaning parties wiped out.

First-past-the-post is failing voters. It fuels division, strategic voting, and regional shutouts—while pushing Canada closer to U.S.-style hyperpolarization.

One thing that I was thought was revealing about the divisions within Canada:

When Carney acknowledged Poilievre's hard work on his campaign in his victory speed, the crowd of Liberals cheered.

When Poilievre mentioned Carney in his concession speech, there was loud booing.
