Every so often I get reminded that it seemed like I went to bed one night, then woke up the next day and found out the equivalent of the weird kid who eats bugs to try to impress everyone because they have no qualities whatsoever became an 'expert' on just about everything.

I don't mind nostalgia. There's a market for it because living in the here and now really blows chunks unless you're making the good bucks. Hell, I'm sitting here trying to resist the urge to give notice at my job with nothing lined up because it's killing me.
