We’re posting about this now in hopes of drawing public attention to NOAA’s Atlas 15 project which was quietly shut down by the Trump administration before it could be completed. The work was nearly finished and could still be restarted if pressure mounts.

Activists in Paris dyed a fountain red to symbolise what they called “the bloodbath” taking place in Gaza. The protesters said a lack of political will to confront Israel’s actions is increasingly being seen as “a form of complicity” with genocide.

The Trump administration has reached a deal that will allow Boeing to pay $1.1 billion to avoid criminal prosecution for two deadly crashes in 2018 and 2019, which together killed 346 people.

Many victims' families, however, are still calling for Boeing's day in court.

Today the Supreme Court cleared the way for the federal government to transfer thousands of acres of national forestland including a Native American sacred site, to Resolution Copper a mining company owned by Rio Tinto and BHP. The land holds deep spiritual significance for the Western Apache tribe.

Oligarchy (noun):

A government of and by a few at the top, who exercise power for their own benefit. Their power and wealth increase as they make laws that favor themselves, manipulate financial markets, and create monopolies that put more wealth into their pockets.

Add it to the list—now Trump wants to eliminate FEMA? Texas has faced hurricanes, wildfires, and deadly winter storms. Since addressing climate change isn’t a priority for them, it’s only going to get worse. We’re one of the most impacted states. This isn’t just reckless—it’s dangerous.

The Trump regime is working to deter dissent.

Anyone who goes against Trump could end up on a target list.

This is having a chilling effect on five major pillars of society — universities, science, the media, the law, and the arts.

It's straight out of the fascist playbook.

If you're horrified by this, please know that just a few people can make a huge difference. We had a small group of maybe 20 regulars and we were able to advocate and raise the alarm through our weekly visits. You can too:

If you find this deplorable, you can do something about it: across the country there are groups who visit, witness, and advocated for people detained by ICE. They constantly need volunteers. You don't need to be a lawyer.

But we exist.
