#langsky The other day my Argentinian colleague told me that I’m fluent in Spanish. I told her I’m not. She then said, “yes, you ARE!”
I don’t think am. I consider B2 fluent and while I understand Spanish at that level, I’m more like B1 when it comes to speaking. I’ll take the win though! 🤩

When a feminine noun starts with a stressed 'a' sound, 'el' is used instead of 'la' to avoid a repetition of sounds, like 'la agua':
el agua
el alma
el águila
el ala
el acta
But, the noun remains feminine.
el agua fría (not el agua frío)

People (outside of #Catalonia) tend to think of #Catalan as a minority language. But with 9.2 million speakers (including L2 speakers) it’s larger than many other national languages. My own for example (Danish has around 6 million speakers). 😊
