Mostly Seattle sports, beer, and TTRPGs. He/They. Disaster bi.
Yup. Communities and states you don't like deserve disaster relief too, you miserable fucks
“Then they shouldn’t have voted for this!”

Bitch, Asheville is a blue college town and the county has gone blue for decades. I am so sick of this “if I pretend disasters only happen to red areas, it means I’m safe because I’m properly on the left!” No. You’re not safe. That’s why we save everybody.
Hundreds of residents signed up for FEMA buyouts after Hurricane Helene. Not one has been approved.

Awful as Alabama government can be, the state keeps producing brave Alabamians who demand better. Who sometimes end up transforming their state and the nation.
Sometimes I wonder about what purpose (beyond a cautionary tale) Alabama serves.

I’m not sure why I’m surprised that a Jon Bois video series using the 90s series Home Improvement as a foundational through line is as good as it is given I’ve been blown away by away by every other Jon Bois series with absolutely absurd premises, but here we are yet again youtu.be/zmyBSrQodnI?...

One of my favorite presents ever—my dad found and framed this pic of my mother @sunminkimes.bsky.social at a Seattle courthouse after she passed her US citizenship test in 1981. Like so many of the people who come here to start a new life, she is the best of us—the bravest, strongest person I know.

Our long national nightmare is over. I've figured out a way to run three external monitors PLUS my macbook for a four display battlestation.

Here's how much of a Dad I've become: one of the gifts I was most excited to get was a really nice Anker surge strip with a bunch of outlets and USB ports on it because it means I can consolidate charging options on my nightstand.

Tiny Tim, who DID NOT die, served capably in the Rebel Alliance long after the Battle of Hoth regardless of what the story group tells you.
Tiny Tim, who DID NOT die, fled through the desert while the gunslinger followed.

Sure it was 6:30AM, but having your kid burst into your room shouting "SANTA WAS HERE!!!" is pretty great.

Another Christmas Eve, another year where I get to read The Night Before Christmas to my kiddo right before bed.

The world is rough, but I’m thankful for these small, simple joys.

Happy holidays, good vibes, and well wishes to you all. May we all find more joy and hope together as we move forward.

Once more we have to give a hell yeah to Rick Steves.

I think everyone knows he's a kind, empathetic, generous, and all around awesome person. But unless you're from the Seattle area I'm not sure if it's clear how much of a champion and steward he is for the community he lives in.

It's been a year. It's been a -month-. Honestly feels like I really haven't had the chance to enjoy the holidays, but that's okay.

My mother-in-law has moved into assisted living ten minutes away, and after initially hating it, she's come to love where she is now. She's getting the help she needs

Just remembered Dave Filoni is doing a Star Wars movie and I'm struggling to think of a less accessible film to general audiences.

Anyway, make sure to watch all of Clone Wars, Bad Batch, Rebels, Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and read this random West End Games supplement first.
