Yeah, people screaming socialism or communism probably have the political literacy of a child. It's not nationalizing, no govt presence in board, no control of operations. He is just participating in stock market gambling with govt money. Probably thinking he'll pay off govt debt by day trading.
Trump taking Intel's CHIPS grant money, allocated for manufacturing and research, and converting it to an equity stake, no strings attached, is the opposite of "socialism" or whatever centrist pundits are vomiting out.
It's a $9 billion giveaway to prop up their failing stock.
