I'd be much more concerned for anyone considering chronogaming the Spectrum, given the warning in this ad:

Showed Garuda the character Techrat from Jem and he had the reaction of when you see a vtuber with a voice that doesn’t quite match their appearance.

It's only a Man of Steel if the steel comes from a united steelworkers plant. Otherwise it's is an Alloyed Person.

Can't remember if Rareware's Dream was ever actually announced while they were working on it. Was it in at least an issue of Nintendo Power?

when I first read Steel Ball Run I didn’t know that much about irl horse racing but holy shit, seven triple crowns in a row might be one of the least believable things in JoJo

I dunno what people are talking about, I'm always playing DRM-free PC games on a melting SNES while facing the side of a CRT television

Could always go back to Harvest Moon 64/Back to Nature to see where most of the foundation of this genre came from. The SNES Harvest Moon was much more strict and game-like.

Literally the only thing I've heard about 16 is "Why are they sidelining Jill in the story?" followed by "Actually I don't want these writers writing more Jill."

You're not missing happy hour at the bar, you're going to the bar on tuesday instead of thursday. If you play a game, then whatever version you play, and the experience with it, is what aspect of the game enriches you.

There's more gundam manga than gundam in any other medium, and Gundam Ace magazine's been in print for 30 (35?) years. If it needs to be in english, then Thunderbolt's pretty good.

I regret to inform7 you ma'am but your son is dead. Your son is found in the Grey Hallway. The description of your son is "a poor soul who died in these hallowed halls." The son is wearing a backpack. The backpack is openable and closed.

I started digging around. The Japanese Saturn manual credits "Takanori Wada" and "Hiromasa Ohta" for graphic support.

That second one was the character designer for Keio Flying Squadron, who worked at Victor for many years. And this image is signed "Ohchan." www.mobygames.com/person/45518...

Your praise is misplaced. That credit belongs to Ken Rolston, who stopped working at Bethesda after Oblivion.

You know you can just edit the HTML locally for this, right? You don't have to vandalize a wikipedia page for your joke.

Putting together a press kit like this in 1997 was, to be blunt, completely unnecessary. But from a historical perspective, it's awesome. Like: look, here's a video interview with MDK designer Nick Bruty!

The part that confuses me is why the game will have no "player-facing" content made by generative AI, but for several years they've been making Deadhaus Sonata radio plays on their youtube channel with generative AI graphics. What's the difference Dyack?
