I feel like the truly dedicated fans aren't the one who worry about their fandoms dying. They're the ones creating things, leaving likes, kudos, comments, sharing the art and fics they love. They're doing their part and they should be proud of it regardless of who else loses interest.

Starting to think the most cruel thing an author can do is tell their audience if they're wrong or right. It takes away peoples agency interracting with a story in a way they engaged with, and it's a gross overstep in authority. The spirit of reading is in the interpretation. I'm sorry I overstepped
