My name is Shawn Harris. I am a Democrat, husband, father, Retired Brigadier General, farmer, and I'm running against MTG. Can you share and follow me?

To my fellow Americans on this Fourth of July, I hope you share my patriotic fury at what a right-wing minority is currently doing to destroy our country. It’s going to take a generation to fix.

This is a tragic day in American history. We deserve better. Our children and families and citizens deserve better.

I’m ashamed of what’s just happened. This is not a vote that cares about voters, this is greed, recklessness, violence and immorality.

We will all suffer from this.
Congress voted to pass the largest job-killing bill in history.

Congress voted to take away health care from 17 million people to pay for tax breaks for billionaires.

Congress voted to take away food assistance from 3 million people.

Congress voted to betray working people.

In a country characterized by the rule of law, some regulation of immigration is a legitimate function of government. In a lawless, expressly bigoted, and expressly corrupt regime, it is not. Download IceBlock and defy this administration.

It's a very, very good point. The earlier crises were vast and required huge amounts of spending. We have no economic crisis now. We have a vast political and constitutional one. It's when you'd want to keep deficit/debt stable with respect to size of the economy.
Of all the times in our history, why blow out the budget deficit now?
