Some people are desperate for the Rapture as a way to escape the consequences for what they've done to this world. They have a mindset that is permanently stuck in the mode of a guy who knows he's getting fired soon so why not trash the place before you go.

I’m still not rebooking our cruise on Disney (Saturday I cancelled our cruise to Alaska next year on DCL and booked on Royal Caribbean instead)
I appreciate this was tough from a business POV for Disney but that doesn’t give them a pass for punting on free speech

Political violence is always immoral and always counterproductive for a healthy democracy. It solves nothing. It only leads to further violence and ultimately enables scapegoating of vulnerable communities. Committing acts of violence against those who disagree with us helps no one.

In addition to the whole fascism thing (ugh), this demonstrates a complete lack of understanding on how broadcast licensing in America works (not surprising tbh). The affiliate stations (and their owners) are the ones who get the licenses and thus pay the fees, companies like Hearst and Tegna.
This is what autocrats say and do. Some threats he intends to carry out, others are just meant to intimidate to produce a change in behavior caused by fear. Every day we move closer to autocracy. Who will be fearless & fight, who will ignore it and hide, & who will bend the knee?

Driving my rig around the roadblock because dammit I need to get some sleep but I just need to deliver this load to Jonesboro first and I don’t want to go 50 miles out of my way to do so.
