I’m so inspired by @kristinsorra.bsky.social ‘s squirrel. (It was for the SCBWI Artober “rustle” prompt). I couldn’t find brushes on procreate to get me anywhere close. But I learned how to draw squirrels a bit better.

Took a couple days off, skipped two prompts for rest and protest. For today’s “mask,” I thought of my dogs. My daughter and I like to call the markings on their faces masks, each wearing the same mask but in different colors.

Feeling under the weather today, so I created this piece in bed, and had to forgo my real paints. I love crows so I’ve made a murder of them unaffected, unafraid, even lying on the scarecrow, which is meant to scare them away.
