One of the best things about the internet has always been finding out that you're not crazy or overly sensitive, the vibe really is off and there's a reason for it.
Fun fact: this is explicitly why Dick Wolf created Law & Order: he violently hates defense attorneys and felt tere weren't enough shows about how defendants and their lawyers are scum

Too many shows abandon their characters and subplots completely to just focus on its plot due to episode limits and it makes them ring hollow.
These characters feel very alive and even though the plot seems to not be doing much I personally don’t mind
