We make that Gundam podcast you love.

Hi! We're a weekly podcast about watching and discussing all of Gundam in order, one episode at a time, and researching the people who made it, the historical and cultural inspirations they drew on, the real (ish) science they incorporated, and the impact it's had on the world.
We’re old!
Big congratulations to @gundampodcast.bsky.social on seven(!) years this month.

Listening to @gundampodcast.bsky.social 2.30 and uh. Congratulations to Thom and Nina for predicting G-QuuuuuuX five years ago.

FYI there will be no new episode on the public feed this week. Thom hurt his neck and hasn't been able to sit at the computer long enough to finish the editing. We'll be back next week with episode 10.49.

Totally unrelated to anything we might or might not be doing in the near future, who are your favorite Gundam fan artists on here?

It’s never a bad time to enjoy the Gundam 10th Anniversary ‘All that Gundam’ short from 1989. Created by some notable industry experts, and a wonderful watch. 🔥

Audio is a must! Over 15 years prior to Kenji Kawai drafting the full Gundam 00 soundtrack..

🌻🌿🌷 Spring Cleaning Time! 🌸🍃🧹

Us sowing (putting gunpla and knickknacks everywhere): Haha fuck yeah!!! Yes!!

Us reaping (having to move a bunch of fiddly, breakable objects so that we can dust the shelves): Well this fucking sucks. [sneezes; gunpla falls apart] What the fuck.

Do you know how often I remember @gundampodcast.bsky.social pointing out that this was THE VERY FIRST FANSERVICE SCENE in all of Gundam... Because I remember that a lot.

People think about the many Gundam girls through the years, but only Char could be Gundam's First Fanservice Scene.
Meanwhile, is this what GQuuuuuuX was doing talking about MAVs

(yes, because homoeroticism)

The episode titles for the Mobile Suit Breakdown season on Char’s Counterattack are all quotes from this song for a Reason
a facet of CCA that I think is underrepresented in discussions about its themes and meaning is the fact that it ends in a song with lyrics like these

This one from episode 6 is probably the most memorable in the whole OVA

This week on MSB: Victory Gundam ep. 43!

We meet a new BESPA character who will surely be around a while, ponder whether Fuala Griffon is a Char or perhaps more of a Yazan back for revenge, and debate the merits of Uso's 'after school special' storyline.

Thom and Nina are in the next room recording @gundampodcast.bsky.social and I can hear approximately 0% of what they're saying apart from the bit where Thom loudly proclaims "I'm LEAVING I'm DONE here" and then remains firmly in the room so look forward to that later I guess if youre a gundam patron
