My husband and I have been together 39 years. First as domestic partners, then as a civil union and finally married in 2008 when legally allowed…each time jumping through hoops for recognition no straight couple is required to do.

I am on Medicare with Advantage. It is a dramatic improvement over my employer-based insurance.
It is insufficient. Not everyone can afford the $185/month I have to pay for Parts A & B. Medicaid is only available for a limited (justification-required) cohort.
We need Univeral Health Care.
