I thought this Fall blooming iris had given up. Just spotted this morning.

It’s that season! I think there’s a ‘Picotee’, ‘Zombie’ and ‘RedLion’ in that collection.

Yesterday, the red shouldered hawk showed up with its mate. They’re both back today. if I recall correctly, the larger one is the female.
2 hawks in a bare tree. Trees that still have leaves are one the other side of our across-the-street neighbors.

We have a new tea room in Mebane!!! I had a flight of oolongs and Chuck had a flight of greens.
A wooden counter with a black workspace on top. 3 white lidded bowls, 2 clear glass teapots with ceramic strainers on top of them (one is brown, the other is light grey.). A stylized ceramic cat is on the left corner and a dark ceramic frog is on the other. There is a pot to pour hot water to the right and slightly behind the teapot on the right. The arm of the tea guy is behind it. He has a geometric tattoo on his forearm. On the back wall is a counter with sinks, to-go cups, an electric kettle and some other bits and pieces. There are 2 shelves on the wall holding small teapots, a couple of empty vases and some tea tins. There are maps of China and Taiwan on the wall.

I grabbed the wrong pants from the drawer and have no shorts with me. So I just had to sacrifice what I wore yesterday.
