BUG ALL YOUR REPS IN DC TO VOTE NO ON ANYTHING & EVERYTHING THAT WOULD "REFORM" (READ:WEAKEN) , REPEAL, OR SUNSET SECTION 230, WHICH IS WHAT PROTECTS FREE SPEECH ON THE US INTERNET & ENABLES THE EXISTENCE OF COMPETITOR SITES TO BIG TECH.
Push to repeal Section 230 raises stakes for how social media moderates content
Lawmakers are renewing a push to take away the legal provision that shields social media companies from liability over content their users post.

The great Rachel Gitlevich(a fellow UArts alumni and animation labor trailblazer) posted this on linkedin. There's a lot of inherent good about "going indie" but there's also just as many things that could go wrong. We cannot reproduce the harms of the studio system.

When Charles Schulz died, every currently syndicated cartoonist set aside a day to pay tribute to him and his life's work. The Garfield one was my favorite.

No one will do that for Adams.

So AI is

- A zero-profit money sinkhole
- Slowing down workers who have to keep fixing its hallucinations
- Filling the internet with lies and deception
- Fighting creativity
- Ruining the customer tech market
- Killing open source software
- Destroying education

But for some reason we "need" it?
Sora 2 apparently cost something like $5 billion to run every year and so far made OpenAI around $1.4 million.

This would've been such an amazing movie. I had the honor to peep it sometime last year and it was very moving and exciting. Sony passed on something great BUT I hear Matt has some other news to share soon so... Something else to look forward to!
Matt Braly has shared never-before-seen development artwork from his canceled feature film at Sony Pictures Animation.

The project centered on a young boy who embarks on an emotional journey into a fantastical realm of Thai spirits, hoping to find a cure for his illness.

Or you can parent your fucking children for once, you goddamn useless fucks.
TN is considering a new bill that allows parents to sue large platforms that allow "material harmful to minors"— including sculpture, drawings, photos, music or video games— that describe or depict nudity, sex or "excessive violence"

The censorship that started with "porn" is coming for everything.
