A new arrival to Bluesky and seeing lots of intros, so thought I'd make my first post an introduction.

I’m a psychologist with a unique twist - a degree in adventure! My journey combines psychology, coaching, facilitation, and consulting, all driven by a deep passion for creating positive impact.
Hi @heat-geek.bsky.social - is there any way I can speak to somebody? I've emailed and used your AI chatbot, but not getting anywhere. You have just increased my proposal (with no explanation or justification) by more than £1500! I was just about to sign off, and I'm now unsure what to do next!

Please explain why this isn’t causing outrage in the press - like they did after the Bob Vylan chant at Glastonbury
Ofcom refuses to investigate GB News over a call to shoot and starve disabled benefits claimants.

The watchdog says the channel has a right to "freedom of expression" even if it means calling on air for disabled people to be killed

What an utter absurdity our Home Secretary has created -

Destroying British free speech, right to protest and with it undermining democracy.

It is not for the government to terrorise the public for political opinions they don’t want to hear.

I’m probably on the more liberal side when it comes to punishment, but….someone keeps farting on the train and I suddenly support corporal punishment

I find it incredible that with all the political strategists surrounding and advising government ministers that they should need this explained to them. Over and over again. And to no avail
Dear Labour - there is not enough red meat you can throw a Reform voter to get them to vote for you. Stop bloody trying as you aren’t getting them on side but are losing everyone else! How the hell can we all see this but not you!?

Except they won’t. If they didn’t do it over the murder of Jo Cox they’re not going to do it for migrants.

We have to stop expecting politicians and media outlets to hold themselves accountable.

The system that allows them to continually get away with it needs fundamental change.
Sooner or later something terrible is going to happen at one of these hotels and the politicians and media outlets who have spent the past year whipping it all up will have to carry the blame

I wonder if you can guess where some of Reform’s funding might be coming from 🤔

Meanwhile, this is the message from Richard Tice and Reform:

This is literally THE only take. Shocking move by the government
Today the order banning #PalestineAction as "terrorists" came into effect. But they are not terrorists. They are protesters trying to stop a genocide. This is a "first they came for ..." situation. Unless we stand in solidarity against this assault on our freedom, they will pick us off one by one.

Grasses up to my shoulders, wildflowers everywhere, birdsong and insects buzzing all around. Just metres away, the thrum of the motorway. A chalk meadow clinging on - a brief, defiant oasis in a system that rarely makes space.

They’re about to build 3,500 new houses next to it, here in North Herts.

I’m pretty sure that most of Trump’s directives boil down to spite.

Case in point, via David Ho: “It’s weird that the GOP wants China to dominate the future of energy.”

Rampant, egregious editorializing from Reuters, painting Netanyahu as a crusading hero that the world has let down. Just jaw-dropping malfeasance.
After two decades of continually raising the alarm about Iran nuclear program and urging other world leaders to act, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu finally decided to go it alone reut.rs/4e0qmfX

Support for renewables is falling. Fossil fuel interest is rising.

This isn’t just a communications failure. It is part of a wider project.

Climate denial, far-right authoritarianism and anti net zero politics are deeply interconnected.
Propaganda works.
Support for wind and solar is down, and interest in fossil fuels is up.

A new Pew survey finds 60% of Americans back renewables—down from 79% in 2020. Support for oil, coal, and gas nearly doubled, from 20% to 39%:

I grew up in the UK on American cop shows. “Protect and serve” was what we were meant to believe. A young woman shot at point blank range outside her home. Reporters and bystanders too. I don’t know what goes through someone’s mind when they pull that trigger, but I know something is broken.
There could easily be a case made for attempted manslaughter / murder...a chest shot with this type of round can stop the heart.
A lower abdomen shot can damage liver etc
Everyone issued those type of weapons is told what the dangers are.
WATCH: “Holy f*ck — They literally just shot her point blank… I live here…”

Jeez, this chart stopped me in my tracks and hit hard. I’ll be 50 next year, so nearly 75% of fossil fuel CO₂ emissions have taken place in my lifetime. My son is 20, and witnessed almost 40%.
If you think climate change has gotten worse during your lifetime, you're right and there's a good reason.

If you're Gen X like me, more than 3/4 of fossil fuel CO₂ emissions have occurred in your lifetime. Even if you're a Millennial, it's at least half.

MAGA Republicans are keen on the use of military force against citizens & the deployment of big tech for mass surveillance.

This is a violent, authoritarian movement legitimised by anti-migrant rhetoric.

If you don't want that here, we have to stand up before it's too late.
