Information for teens/adults: There is a lot of shame surrounding being intersex because of society's push of the binary. Our bodies are seen as wrong, weird, and gross; we are seen like we need to be fixed, which leads to a lot f harm. Intersex people are often victims of forced surgeries that we don't need; this is standard practice in almost every country around the world. Many people don't even know we exist, which makes it hard to bring an end to these horrible practices. With more education and more exposure to us, maybe one day we will be allowed to exist in our own bodies just as they are. I hope you will all stand by us in our fight for rights and justice. Fun Facts for all aqes: The plants and animals mentioned in this book can all be intersex. Killian Rose actuəlh, named themselves Rose after the flower because they can be intersex, and they also represent trans people--a flower that truly embraces multiple parts of them. Did you know that orchids are typically used to represent intersex people? It was most commonly used by people with AlS (androgen insensitivity syndrome) but has expanded to the rest of the intersex community. Other types of plants that can be intersex are: lilies, daffodils, petunias, tomatoes, hibiscus, horse chestnuts, magnolias, lindens, and sunflowers. Other types On animals that can be intersex are: butterflies, bears, dogs, spiders, goats, kangaroos, pacific spadenose sharks, and pigs. "I love my body because it's me" the intersex person is holding an intersex flag and smiling

Note: Now that the Pride flag is an official city government flag, many schools and cities across the US with Pride flag bans can now fly it.

Many Pride flag bans have an exception for “city” or “government” flags.

And those exceptions do not specify that they are your local government flag.

1. Missoula, Montana has cleverly voted to defy the Pride flag ban by making the it "an official city flag."

This comes after a law banned the flying of the flag but made an exception for "official flags."

Now, the Pride flag will fly defiantly in the state.

It actually doesn't matter whether Khelif is intersex or not and I'm tired of seeing people pretend it does. Intersex women have a right to participate in sports just as perisex (non-intersex) women do.

Jonathan Joss (Comanche, White Mountain Apache) did not simply die from a gunshot. He was murdered in a homophobic, racist hate crime by his former neighbors. He died saving his partners life. Honor his legacy-- both queerness and Indigeneity are inextricable to why he was targeted.

I really hope the creators of King of The Hill as well as Amy Poehler, Adam Scott, and other names from Parks & Rec use their voices to honor Jonathan Joss and use their power to bring to light the horrendous hate crime that happened to him during Pride.

So often, Natives are forgotten.

Jonathan Joss was a gay and Native actor who was murdered, it was a hate crime. He died protecting his husband and they we're just newly wed. If you think it wasnt a hate crime you are the problem.
