Here is my report from employees across the federal government detailing what is happening and how bad it is: www.lawdork.com/p/trump-anti...
‼️ The State Department has REMOVED TQIA+ on their page of recommendations for queer travelers. This page yesterday said "LGBTQIA+" and now just says "LGB".

The federal government is trying to erase trans people from existence.

I saw a description of a snowboarder riding "Goofy Style" and that knocked me back to the 90's real fast. Still not used to seeing it with the Olympic logo, but I'm excited for the athletes!
As an Old it will never not be wild to me to see x-game style events in the Olympics.

They're gonna tear it down, aren't they?
Donald Trump and Ric Grenell want to do to the Kennedy Center what Donald Trump and Stephen Miller want to do to America: Crush everything about it that is pure and good and remake it in their distorted, hateful image.

This is why Democrats need to compete EVERYWHERE.

We won’t win every race, but it’s stupid and irresponsible to simply forfeit certain races to incumbents. Always but especially now, we need competitive elections. And at the bare minimum, make them spend money defending seats they had won by 17 pts
JUST IN: Democrats flip a red seat in the Texas Senate.

Taylor Rehmet wins against Leigh Wambsganss, a conservative activist who helped lead right-wing efforts to take over TX school boards.

With all early vote, and 95% of precincts, in, Dem up 57/43.

Trump won this seat by 17% in Tarrant County.

I'm skimming through mentions of Trump in the Trump-Epstein Files, and there's one thing that I'm thinking over and over:

All we had to do was believe the women.

There are dozens of stories in here that make me ill. Do you really believe these are all lies?

An unbelievable thing happened last night. 3,083 people from the @minnmax.com and @giantbomb.bsky.social community stepped up to protect the people in Minneapolis from ICE.

We cannot show less courage than these children
“A protest broke out Saturday at the South Texas family detention complex in Dilley … after guards abruptly ordered attorneys to leave while detainees—many of them children—poured into open areas of the facility chanting ‘Libertad,’ or ‘Freedom,’ according to an immigration attorney …”

I agree that the occupation of MN is different in scale than the brutality we've seen before, but the biggest difference is just that they're treating white people, white neighborhoods, with the impunity they've always shown towards black and brown ones.

They're just saying "no lives matter."

You rise to the level of your training and practice, not to the level of your imagined self.

So it's extremely important to get skilled up and to practice. That's what all of the people getting trained in ICE Watch are doing.

This is such an important point. This family tried to follow the rules.

The distinction is going to get more important when they start mass deporting the people whose TPS status Trump revoked. They’ll call them “illegal” too, even though they were here legally until Trump yanked the rug.
People are missing a big thing about the saga of the detained 5-year-old. When Vance calls the father an "illegal alien" it seems to reflect a little-known Trump admin move that attempts to nullify asylum claims before they are even heard.

This policy is a horror:

I'm wondering how much the national conversation around AIDS has shaped the current political climate. The closeted deaths, the framing as "Gay Disease" in big cities.

It's also the first time since I moved to the Bay. It's funny how much the City changes, but is still fundamentally itself.

I'm watching today thinking about the brain drain we've seen with this administration, not to mention what we lost during his first term. The civil servants who had carried on fire decades regardless of who's in charge that are gone.

I think about basic things like the response to a winter storm.

The watch during Covid was tough. I watched them navigate a combative administration to try and save as many as possible

The main character's "butcher board" as AIDS spread and the death toll rose was identical to my notes checking the Harvard Dashboard from home after being pulled from the field
