And that’s the damn way it should be. They are instructed not to follow illegal orders. It’s not sedition when you refuse to carry out a lunatic’s treason.

Jokes aside, take note that the secretary of transportation is concerned with going on Fox News to tell you you're not dressing fancy enough in a time of increasing air accidents and near misses that are largely the fault of his departments.
Dress up!!! We already do! :-)

Seriously, skip Divine. It adds nothing that you can't already get with tiktok or shorts or whatever meta has. All it will accomplish is using you to teach a machine to replace you.

“5 years” *so far.*

there are SARS-1 survivors who are still disabled and chronically ill, two decades later.

the folks in charge should never have convinced most people that SARS-2 would be any different.
A mask can save you from a lifetime of disability.

One infection = five years disabled.

You don’t want Long Covid.
Let me be your cautionary tale.

Tom Hanks explains to Stephen Colbert why he masks on the subway:

"I'm doing a play right now so I cannot get sick... I've had COVID enough in my life, I don't need to do that again. So I'm wearing this for health reasons."

Thank you Tom! Masks are still a key part of public health.

this is what downplaying infectious disease on a societal level gets you. companies/ C-suites that believe they have the god-given right to kill your baby and face zero consequences and also continue to kill more babies
On the ByHeart formula recall: “I have never seen a company so aggressively fight to deny the evidence against them," @cspinet.org's Sarah Sorscher said. Why food safety experts are alarmed by the company's response to the infant botulism outbreak:

On Veterans Day, we honor those who served and commit to serving them in return — not just in words, but in actions.

Affordability and a real commitment to mental health are essential to ensure that every veteran can build a future here in New York City.

Wow! The lengths Trump will go to just to make Americans starve. His administration has ordered states to “immediately undo” any steps taken to provide full food stamp benefits to low-income families.

I want you to imagine an American president standing in front of the podium and speaking to the country.

Are they a white man speaking English?

Why?

If at least 26 billionaires can waste at least $27 million trying to defeat Zohran Mamdani, then those same billionaires can afford to pay an extra 2% on their income over $1 million to make New York a better, thriving city for everyone — including themselves.

BREAKING: Maine voters reject a sweeping Republican-backed anti-voting ballot measure that would have created a new photo ID requirement for voting, eliminated programs that expanded access to absentee ballots, ended the state’s permanent absentee voter list and more. Story to come.

You wouldn't say your manager does your job, would you?

If you do all the work, then your manager comes in with other people and starts bragging about doing your work... You'd be pissed because they don't do that work.

So why would you think writing a prompt to AI makes you an artist?

Trans men are the counterweight we need to balance the shitty, terrible, toxic, cis men out there. There are good cis men for sure, but the number of terrible ones is through the roof.

Trans dudes are cool and better models of nontoxic masculinity, and boys should be looking up to them

As a librarian and archivist, part of my training is in reference. If you do not know, reference is the art and science of teaching students, other researchers, and the public how to actually do their own research.
It makes me livid when my colleagues promote this shit.
Among the reasons I absolutely loathe genAI is the fact it devalues and undermines skills like learning how to research, fact check, and communicate. It’s like answering a question with a print out of search engine results, taking it as truth because the computer said so.
