Sometimes we need something to laugh about. The only thing worse that a quickly downing a shot of Malort would be slowly sucking on a piece of Malort candy.
New 'Malört Sucks' candies, which started as an April Fools’ prank, sold out within two hours when they launched Monday. Going for $6 per tin on the Jeppson’s Malört merch site, they are now on back order for approximately four weeks.
New 'Malört Sucks' candies aren't a joke. Here's what early taste testers said
What started as an April Fool’s joke has turned into a bitter-tasting reality after Jeppson’s Malört decided to contract a candy company.

The Trump family stablecoin surged to 7th largest in the world because of a shady crypto deal with the United Arab Emirates—a foreign government that will give them a crazy amount of money.

The Senate shouldn’t pass a crypto bill this week to facilitate this kind of corruption.

But the reality is simple: the Constitution gives Congress, not the White House, authority over spending. Any move by Trump to seize or block funds would trigger a constitutional crisis and end up at the Supreme Court.

This isn’t fiscal responsibility. This is an authoritarian power grab.

Trump's budget plan includes a record $1 trillion in military spending. At the same time, he wants to cut $163 billion in housing, education, healthcare, climate, and labor programs to pay for tax cuts that will mostly go to the rich. "Fiscal responsibility."

This. So much. Why is this suddenly ok? Just because he believes he can't be prosecuted for it? That's wrong. Corruption isn't even remotely within the remotest perimeters of official and thus protected acts. It is explicitly prohibited by the Constitution. Which means it can't be official. Wake up.
I’m still baffled at how America took one of the basic principles of the presidency — the occupant shouldn’t be able to benefit financially from the office — and just said, nah, that just doesn’t count for this one guy.

It is wasteful, not efficient, to allow tuberculosis medications sit on the shelves instead of saving lives when the meds have already been paid for with our tax dollars.
Just received this photo from a friend of a warehouse in Kinshasa. These are tuberculosis medications--ALREADY PAID FOR--that aren't being distributed due to the Trump Administration's stop work order.
TB treatment is being interrupted in SO many patients around the world. What does that mean? (1/2)

Executive wants to frame the NIH indirects cut as $4B in savings.

But given that NIH returns $2.5 on every $1 investment, this would actually cost US economy a net $6 BILLION (per year!). Not to mention the human costs of wrecking education and research sectors and the communities they serve.
Direct Economic Contributions
NIH directly supports the economy through investments in research institutions and job formation.
