Visiting Chicago's beautiful Garfield Park Conservatory today. The incoming president claims the deportation of migrants will begin in Chicago on Tuesday. Refugees, immigrant families, public schools, and social service providers are preparing for different scenarios. May warmth and safety prevail.

When life feels stressful, my favorite thing is to arrive at yoga and take in the spaciousness of an expensive empty room. Space to breathe. And I don't have to clean or manage the space. Natural light, beautiful floors and other people joining me are all bonuses. The big empty room is so lovely.

Terrible things are happening in the world, and good things too. The fires in California, the escalation of destruction and lives destroyed in Gaza, the president elect talking about Greenland and the Gulf of America. Horrible and strange. But also good things are happening.
