There's a channel on YouTube where it's a British woman doing nothing but eating as many shucked oysters as she can. I think her current score is 90.

It almost makes me want to try some. Almost. Jim Gaffigan's words of "eating a snot (ref. Clams) comes to mind.

I kinda fell in love with Tree Hoppers without seeing them; when someone on public radio media had a show on how bugs use UV light.

This was so fun to watch.

@thesalukihusker.bsky.social Turned out pretty nice today, although the 🌞 sunshine always helps. I'm taking the ubiquitous break out in my car.

Today I dressed for the cold outside and inside my office.

To take a page from weather forecast, the inside-the-office temperature was 70°F but "felt-like" temp was 67°.

Doing research on a song I heard the other day. I sometimes can't tell the difference in age of songs. Is it 1980s? 90s? I can't even know what the sound in the new century is supposed to be?

"Don't Shed A Tear" by Paul Carrick 1988. Sounds like it could do well on today's radio.

Working min wage, which is way too minimum, prune fruit trees in early morning hours and cold weather. #CareForFutureFood #CostsMoreThanYouThink
It was in the low 40s with a light rain at 6:45am in Tulare County when "Rafa" sent us this pic from where he was pruning peach trees for min. wage. Peaches require skilled aggressive pruning and shaping to ensure the trees continue to produce quality fruit. #WeFeedYou

Today's weather;
45 mph gusts 🌬️🌬️🌬️🌬️,
feels-like hell has frozen over 🥶; feels like a weather day, not a Sunday.

@spiraledu.bsky.social so are you a charcuterie collector? Or put food together? I always thought it was meat, cheese and crackers.

A favorite lately is peppered salami and just had with orange slices. It's amazing how well they complement each other in flavor.

This rant sounds like a 3rd grader from 80 years ago. I’m surprised that "na nah nah nah nah" wasn't tucked on the end.
He’s unhinged. Who the fuck lets him put out this horseshit, and who the fuck “strIkes” on Christmas?

Oh, and shame on the Main Stream Media for not reporting this for what it is, the rantings of a megalomaniac.

Merry Fucking Christmas .. SMH.

Christmas (and other big holidays) are often rough days for some, so be nice to others and be gentle even for those who seem to be grumpy or unpleasant today.

Just discovered a painting that really hit me, especially here in the Christmas season. For those not Christian, after Christ was born, Mary and Joseph had to flee to Egypt to protect their baby from political persecution.

Good thread to follow.
It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

I was surprised & disappointed to see @flatwaterfreep.bsky.social using ai to read their news stories.

Why can't a real human be used??
I listened to Tessa Domingus's story in what I thought was an audio version but its ai in a flat voice that lagged and was obviously fake.
