I think there are a number of people employed at the New York Times -- certainly not all of them, but many! -- who simply do not grasp how badly the paper's credibility has been shaken over the past few years, along several different axes, and for multiple different reasons

One of the reasons this is happening so fast is because Republicans know if they make concentration camps the baseline the dems will be too afraid to do anything real - the media will normalize it & now getting rid of the concentration camps is an extreme view
All of this stuff would feel less terrible if I thought that Democrats having control of the House, Senate, and Presidency would get rid of it all and punish all of the unconstitutional atrocities instead of doing a bill to update our airports

The other thing that kills me about this is that even if you believe it's true, and no doubt diet and exercise are important, this administration is hell bent on destroying the economic conditions that allow people to afford a good diet or have the time to exercise.
