Science, History, Speculative Fiction, Books, Seattle sports. Working on my first novel.

37 year streak of not accidently doing a Nazi salute.
This is my number one soap box issue, I've been ranting about it for 10 years.

If your normal headlights are brighter than my high beams fuck yourself

The Khashoggi one was just as bad for me. He berated the female reporter twice, and the 2nd time he calls her "insubordinate." Then waxed poetic about kings.

He thinks he owns the entire country & we all work for him. He thinks he owns us.

"but at least I did not have to worry about the worm that was not a worm in his brain."

That article made me walk outside & stare at the sky for a full minute. I don't know what I felt.

It's hilarious to me that game companies finally decided to tackle raising game prices right in the middle of an inflation crisis

Slow build cosmic horror that peaks at the end in what-the-fuckery is the best. It reminds me of Pet Semetary in that you're mostly just kind of unsettled the whole ride (short read) until the book is finally like "it's nightmare fuel time"

Genuinely can't find words & not in the colloquial sense.

"I'm on the lifetime sex offender registry and that's good"

This is one of the funniest sports plays of all time, and one of my favorites. I hadn't laughed that hard at sports since the butt fumble

If we didn't re-sign Josh I was going to give up on the M's forever (until we made another deep playoff run in 20 years)

That's my real takeaway. Like if you didn't already realize the president's a probable pedo, you're dumb.

The sheer vacuous nature & stupidity of these jet-setting dipshits who can't write an english sentence & think they're the masters of the universe is staggering.

I'm wondering if he used some of the info from the files or just knowledge he had to blackmail Repubs. And promising to protect them & failing might actually get them to abandon him

...entirely. but it's the biggest bubble the world may have ever seen & it's going to tank the economy when it pops.

This also doesn't account for the cost to use the tools. AI companies are losing money hand over fist for people to use their services. That's unsustainable & they will have to raise prices eventually. You can't run a loss leader forever. Much like the early internet, AI isn't going away...

The same study also found that people consistently thought they were more productive when they just flat out weren't
November 15, 2025 at 10:40 PM
That's not safe to say at all. The METR study found people were actually 19% less productive using AI & that's probably the best study on the topic.

If you go to his wikipedia page there are photos of his throat. It's a deep gash.

You don't have to be a medical expert to see it's probably impossible to produce that wound from the height of the beds he supposedly hung himself from. They're basically 5' tall.

Imagine hating paying taxes so much you're willing to help a pedophile.

The real lesson from the Epstein emails is that the world is ruled by a small cabal of idiots dumb enough to discuss global affairs over email who've somehow convinced themselves they're super geniuses that also can't spell.

Had some friends that worked there & said the same thing. He's just a dweeb who's a huge dick

Per Epstein, he was at mar-a-lago on thanksgiving - he said Trump was there & we know Trump spent that thanksgiving at mar-a-lago.

Lmfao I could shoot 83 on that course. And she gets a nepo sponsorship exemption.

I looked at her GHIN, she doesn't even turn her scores in. She's turned in 5 cards in two years & claims to be a scratch golfer 🤣

"I still am not convinced as to why we should have detected them…if they can travel FTL"

Yeah but they can't travel FTL. I promise you they can't. It's not a thing (all logic breaks if the universe doesn't have a maximum speed limit). The real answer is we're almost certainly alone in our galaxy
November 14, 2025 at 8:00 PM
Everyone's brought up in a culture where aliens are real. The best answer for the Fermi paradox is that we're probably not alone in the universe but we're probably alone in our galaxy. We're the aliens. We're an early advanced species. It doesn't take long to colonize the galaxy even w/ nuclear
