I never did this here:
I guess that I should introduce myself, tell everyone a bit about me. I live in Dublin 15 in Ireland out on the Western edge of Europe, in more privilege than I like to admit. [1/10]

Welp. Just discovered that someone is putting out a paid collection --over 200 pages-- that looks to be a Spanish language history of Garfield parody comics that may contain some of my work.
While part of me is flattered, my permission was never asked.

I'm at the dentist, and they've put an artsy print of a molar next to a bunch of lilies on a small table and it feels like I'm at a funeral for a tooth

So we're now on the 'I don't have time for this, I'll just use the other side of the road and traffic needs to get out of my way' stage of Irish road use. Nearly got run over.
There's no will or desire in this country to have rules or laws. It's just a libertarian free for all.

I have met another one of you, the social media people, in person, and once again my faith in humans is restored. I think that I mostly know good people.

What bothers me is that impartiality and balance are two different and incompatible things. Impartiality means that you don't intervene to put your thumb on the scales. Balance necessarily requires that you intervene to artificially make every issue look like a 50/50.

I never met Watson. But he gave a public seminar at my undergrad. Don't remember the talk but do remember the incredibly disturbing and degrading misogynistic comments he made at the female biology majors given the honor to meet him.
A real piece of shit! World class.

Hey folks, as news of Watson's demise spreads, please don't set aside his weighty legacy of misogyny and racism. He was truly among the worst of us. www.vox.com/2019/1/15/18...
DNA scientist James Watson has a remarkably long history of sexist, racist public comments
“People say it would be terrible if we made all girls pretty,” he said in 2003. “I think it would be great.”

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.
Here's how to turn it off.

I found my kid's dropped Revolut card outside and for a mischief took it on a glamorous photoshoot in the park. the resulting photos will doubtless be met with potentially catastrophic mixed emotions

I’ve taken in the last few years to answering the phone but saying nothing. In the interests of efficiency, robocalls hang up immediately. People are usually flummoxed, but they never hang up immediately.
Just got my first hoax robocall, supposedly an alert from Revolut about my account being used to subscribe to Prime. Call originated in Belgium and seemed genuine until I checked. Watch out, they're getting more sophisticated.

Last night’s trick or treat hosting was a load of fun. My partner thought up a brilliant creepy door strategy which we made and performed using a sheet, and the result was great! We even got screams from some kids. Parents and older teenagers were the greediest grabbers >

So the new version of the Affinity graphics suite is out, some extra features (not least that it is a single application), rebranded to Canva of course, and is... free? Like imagine getting the core Adobe tools for free. No strings.
I think my eye is twitching. What's the catch?
