Last night’s trick or treat hosting was a load of fun. My partner thought up a brilliant creepy door strategy which we made and performed using a sheet, and the result was great! We even got screams from some kids. Parents and older teenagers were the greediest grabbers >

A longer than planned canal gravel ride. I've gone from putting on the knobbly 45c tyres to wondering if they're not knobbly enough. Where it was slippery, it was very slippery. But yay for mudguards! I'm struggling with getting out enough to maintain fitness and it showed. >

Morning gravel run out. Just a quick one to get out and also give the knobbly tyres a work out, not really meaningful exercise. Slower than the Vittorias on the smooth, but much more grippy when it matters.
An endorsement for Zefal Doodad straps! Handy.

Grand Canal to Royal Canal via the Phoenix Park and Leixlip this morning. Many learnings were taken. Finally ditched the backpack in favour of bike bags which felt a lot better, lost and found my cycling glasses. The Grand Canal was hard work! They’re resurfacing it, I think. Wrecked now.

I live near one of the drone bases. It's as if someone has a loud flying lawnmower that they use randomly every hour or two, but also this

Morning park ride: Mixed it up, keep you all on your toes; quick ride in the park, on and off road. Surprising how nippy the bike is on tarmac, but hitting the limits of the tyres on slippery trails. Wasn’t it supposed to be dry today? Where’s the manager of weather? 1/2

I went for a cycle, and it felt so good. Gravel ride to Ferran’s lock, No. 17, between Kilcock and Enfield. This was a goal for my general training and also for the Longford to Dublin cycle with my brother. I pushed, and it rained, but it was great.
Still tuning the bike a bit.
