Welcome, new friends! Spoiler alerts: If I’m talking Star Trek, it’s probably #HallmarkKeepsakeOrnaments. If I’m talking #Hallmark, it’s probably work. If I’m talking movies and TV and comics, I’m probably excited. If I’m talking politics, I’m probably mad. If I’m talking vulgar, it’s definitely me.

I mean, look, I'm not a reporter, so who am I to talk?

But on a day where the president both just called a woman reporter "Piggy" and is celebrating someone who had people bone saw apart one of my colleagues, I might just be a little ready to defend my colleagues and profession.

But that's just me

NEW: ProPublica examined months of Fox News’ coverage and reviewed over 700 videos posted on social media.

The network used five-year-old footage, mislabeled other dates and implied footage from elsewhere was in Portland.
“Riots Raging”: The Misleading Story Fox News Told About Portland Before Trump Sent Troops
After reviewing coverage from the network and hours of social media videos that preceded Trump’s decision, ProPublica found that Fox’s portrayal of “Portland rioters” routinely instigating violence was misleading.

I for one think the Epstein Ballroom will be magnificent. I love the decor theme of “what if Uday Hussein ran a Ramada Inn.” And giving it a theme song everyone will associate with it is a stroke of brilliance! “Thank Heaven for Little Girls” is very catchy.

And yet he wasn’t considered for the Nobel Peace Prize.
President Trump said Tuesday that the U.S. could step in to disarm Hamas — “quickly and perhaps violently” — if the organization did not do so itself, a potential vulnerability in the ceasefire agreement.
Trump says U.S. will disarm Hamas if it does not do so itself
Hamas has not yet publicly agreed to or signed anything that specifies how it would disarm, but Trump suggested he had received verbal assurances the group would.

That tracks.
Republicans continue to postpone the swearing-in of Adelita Grijalva, the newest Democrat elected to Congress, for an eighth day.

Her day one promise is to be the tie-breaking vote to release the Epstein files.

I’ve been saying this for months and now she’s underscored what I’m sure they have planned for next year. This country does not deserve these games.
If Noem and the DHS believe they can threaten the NFL, the biggest sport in America, like this, then FIFA and the IOC need to begin taking steps to remove the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympics from the United States to protect the world's athletes and fans.
Kristi Noem vowed on Friday that the NFL “won’t be able to sleep at night” after the announcement that Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny will perform at the 2026 Super Bowl halftime show.

the thing that none of these articles will admit is that it’s often not even that they’re being snubbed for being conservative

it’s that they’re being snubbed for being assholes

“let’s get together and leave politics at the door” you first
Wild that right-wing families somehow aren’t to blame for their longstanding and systematic snubbing of queer and lefty children.

Reminder: Trump does not have the legal authority to destroy a cabinet department; reporting on the EO as if he does have that power is both inaccurate and unethical.
