I'm white, but whenever I get temptations and feelings to "stay home" or "leave it blank", I need to be reminded by clips like this and realize it's dumb and foolish that makes me surrender my voice at a table which many got literally murdered in order to get a seat at.

The problem is his CALIFORNIA record has a lot of issues/problems which he'll have to explain: Starting out with pointing to Electoral Vote reapportionment forecasts for the 2030s and say "This you?".
He'll try to argue results in California, and it isn't a bad counter argument, but I think the complete lapse in judgement in those interviews will be too much.

Thing is we can't know if Hardline immigration policy is still preferred until 2028 or 2029 at the earliest.
It's possible people have seen the extreme and want something vastly different, esp in terms of the Hispanic electorate.

I sadly think it's the latter. There are a lot of White and Hispanic people that are extremely anti immigration and I feel like so many people aren't going to learn from this and think that it was just the wrong person to lead it.

This isn’t a “Both Parties Are The Same” doomer post, but this is the terrain of future fights to get the Democratic Party to actually be liberal and progressive on migration policy. There’s been terrible compromises made, over many years, thanks to folks like Rahm Emanuel and James Carville.
