My new article in The Space Review should be up by this evening. It concerns the IDSCS satellites developed as part of IDCSP--how about those confusing acronyms?
Relatively simple satellites. This followed the cancellation of the complicated, little-known, Advent comsat program.

My next Space Review article will be on the IDSCS comsats. After the collapse of the ambitious Advent comsat program, the Air Force moved to build a constellation of small, relatively simple comsats in near-GEO orbit.

I will have at least one (maybe two?) articles in next week's Space Review. The article will be on the development of the IDCSP communications satellites. I acquired a bunch of never-before-published photos. This one was published in 1966, but the rest have not. been published before.

This is from a Ukrainian MoD video showing a drone attack on a 70 meter diameter satellite dish in Crimea, Ukraine. The Russians built this dish during the Cold War for deep space communications. They occupy Ukraine, which wanted to take it out for unknown reasons. thespacereview.com/article/5155/1

And just in case you were not aware, in January 2025, Elon was clear that the Moon is a distraction and he was going straight to Mars. And on February 8, 2026, he reversed himself.

Elon Musk (you may recognize him from the Epstein files) has just given up on Mars.

My next article in The Space Review will be about the space tracking and communications facility at Yevpatoriya, Crimea. Here is a map showing a summer 1957 U-2 reconnaissance flight around the Black Sea. Yevpatoriya is at dead center, and did not become interesting to US intelligence until 1961.

He was hit 3 times in his life by cars. The 3rd time was when I found him.

He is terrified of small spaces like Crates so he couldn't travel anywhere to be adopted.

But then today happened. ❤️

The Washington Post is owned by Jeff Bezos, who is either the second or third richest man on the planet. The editorial page is now trying to rival The Onion for irony. This is the headline for their editorial this morning.

My next article in The Space Review is about the JUMPSEAT signals intelligence satellites. The newly declassified images are great, but also create some mystery. Note the different secondary payloads. The round thing was an infrared sensor, but we don't know the rest.

I will have two articles in this week's Space Review. One of them is on satellite reconnaissance of China's newest aircraft carriers.

Yesterday, five-year-old Liam and his dad Adrian were released from Dilley detention center. I picked them up last night and escorted them back to Minnesota this morning.

Liam is now home. With his hat and his backpack.
