My next article will appear in The Space Review Monday evening. It deals with efforts to provide a near-real-time reconnaissance capability to the HEXAGON satellite. There was a 1970 proposal to add a system to the existing reconnaissance cameras. (more)

My next Space Review article, appearing Monday, will be about reconnaissance satellite hardware falling to Earth in unplanned places like Spitsbergen Island, Venezuela, and England. There was an early proposal to equip the reentry vehicles with a self-destruct system, but the NRO did not do this.
