Where else should I look at PhD programs?
My area of interest is transportation, specifically highway and road reduction, researching the economic, safety/health, and cultural factors.

After the law went into effect, we find that it produced a major boost in spending on streets/highway-related investment, adjusted for inflation.

But spending on non-streets/highway investment, like rail transit, flatlined. States & cities *reduced* spending on rail transit after the law passed.

I really thought Boring Company was gonna try to do business in Memphis (maybe they still are) , because:

1. We already have a tunnel from the airport
2. Saw one of their employees on bumble one time, meaning they are physically here.
3. XAI is here already

Nashville is a bigger market tho ig

What’s the best way to spend $1 billion for transportation?

Our latest report shows the positive impacts of every $1 billion shifted from highways to transit and identifies key policy levers to shift transportation investments away from highway spending.

Me carrying my bike around: “you’re not sorry, you’re just sorry you got caught!!!” (Huge smile and laughing)

Trying out saying what I mean but in a super nice tone just to confuse ppl.

I have exhausted my Memphis dating options and now my strategy is to slide into the DMs of guys who live in Chicago and Nashville and convince them to move here.

I forgot to post this here.

Anyway, please pay attention to xAI (and polluters in general) in Memphis. We deserve clean air. South Memphis ESPECIALLY deserves clean air - they’ve been dealing with polluters, cancer, asthma, for decades.

I’ve returned from Sicily back to Memphis. I was on a 12-day city planning research project in San Berillo.

There are many similarities between that neighborhood and Memphis.

One thing that keeps jumping out to me: we must solve poverty. And city planners cannot solve this alone.

Bollards are like cops except they are always on duty, don’t get paid overtime, and don’t need to carry a gun to stop bad drivers
From this angle, you can truly appreciate how one tiny bollard can stop the enormous and truly gross Cyber Truck. What a magnificent sight!
