Minor point, but I'd love if lists like these listed the senators by state first, rather than by senator name.

It can be a bit daunting confronting the fact that if you want to win, you've got to fight -- but the good news is there are LOTS of people out there who want the change you want. Find them, connect with them, collaborate with them & you will all have a much easier time winning change

Piedmont Avenue is booming, on a beautiful fall evening. People are out and enjoying themselves. It desperately needs the city of #Oakland to widen the sidewalks and give it a road diet.

A nice thing about living in a cozy apartment is it really helps check my impulse to get various tools, props, and gadgets that might be useful for political organizing or other projects
(I just learned that a laminator is a LOT cheaper than I had assumed)

For me it was the AC Transit Easy Pass I got as a freshman at UC Berkeley.
I grew up in suburban LA and was terrified about moving to Berkeley without a car.
Having access to unlimited bus rides included in tuition cost changed my world. I quickly discovered the freedom of living without a car.

What was a good transit service or piece of bike infrastructure that opened up your world when you were younger?
For me the C&O Canal Path and the Capital Crescent Trail helped me feel like I could bike pretty much anywhere when I was in my early teens

There were 980mil enplanements in the US in the last year available. The NYC subway alone has 2bil unlinked passenger trips over the same timeframe.

Anyone up for running the numbers of how many people are are in 4,500 flights as compared to various public transit systems in the US?
Reporter: The US handles about 45,000 flights a day. A 10% reduction of that is worse than the worst cancellation day of the past year, every day until the shutdown ends. Never in modern US aviation history has the federal government done an across the board cut of flight capacity like this

If your daily Bay Area commute involves a transfer between transit agencies -- you're basically about to save over a grand a year.
