Well, the art for the Yellow Mask ad and Zolar story were coming out of the Joe Shuster Studio around the same time that artist Leo Nowak mistakenly depicted Luthor as bald for the first time in 1941. The abundance of closely-shorn foes undoubtedly led to Nowak's confusion ... and Luthor's legacy!
