I got my flu and covid vaccines yesterday. I am increasingly grateful to live in a place (British Columbia) that provides both shots conveniently and free of charge.

There are very few intact watersheds left in British Columbia and the Walker is one of them! Protecting each and everyone becomes increasingly important. They are the keepers of biodiversity and connectors between fragmented ecosystems. Their importance cannot be understated. #conservationnorth

On the eve of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, Pierre Poilievre spoke out for the group he says faces the most hate-based violence.

Um, and apparently that group is…Christians? (It isn’t).

I called for backup on this one. Luckily @pampalmater.com answered:

Yup.

But it's easy to say things like "right-wing disinfo machine." but not realize that Dems are in a similar disinfo machine.

For years, lots of Dems wondered why so many Black folk were disappointed with Elon Musk, or Joe Biden. It was for exactly the same reason:

We knew things they'd done.🤷🏿‍♂️
reposting with alt text because this feels incredibly significant. the right-wing disinfo machine means a lot of the people grieving Charlie Kirk never heard any of the things he said that would have tarnished his brand as Guy Who Just Wants to Have Dialogue Across the Aisle

For more than a decade, professor of forest hydrology Younes Alila’s research showed how B.C.’s land management choices can amplify floods and landslides.

He published in peer-reviewed journals, warned officials and spoke to anyone willing to listen.

Few did.

The most effective way to reduce homelessness is to give people homes. I'm not sure why we pretend that this is so complicated.

You end pantslessness by giving people pants.👖

You can't end pantslessness by throwing away someone's shirt too. That doesn't make sense.

💸 You have the opportunity to help shape the 2025 federal budget!

Due to the timing of the federal election, the federal government postponed the release of the budget due & reopened consultations for the public to highlight what they would like to see prioritized in federal spending.
