Definitely needed as in just a few years a Graduate on just over min wage will be paying a marginal rate of "tax" of 37% (20% tax, 8% NI & 9% student loan), ok for those Grads who are lawyers or bankers but ridiculous for those with normal or low paid grad entry jobs.
Streeting calls for 'national debate' on student loan system in wake of graduate fury

The Health Secretary said a serious discussion is needed about the current student loan repayment system.

If it weren't so ridiculous and potentially damaging it would actually be funny. But no doubt some people will believe it correct
Today should be another reminder that when billionaires take control of vital platforms for communication, it’s not a win for free speech or "free markets."

It’s a win for oligarchy.
Truly hilarious headline from the Bezos-owned Washington Post yesterday.

Never, ever let the guys who control half the wealth in America and just got billions of dollars in tax breaks tell you we shouldn't tax the rich.

"It is illegal in the US to constrain AI in any way"

This is already a huge problem AI may not be dangerous in itself (it may be) but its use by bad actors or the ill intended is NOW as we've seen from the GROK issues. AI companies must be responsible for their AI models output & allowed to be sued
Darth, keep up with legal developments in the US:

Grok is not a “person” the way corporations are (thanks to Citizens United); since Grok isn’t a “person,” he can’t be sued, fined, deported or otherwise impeded.

It is illegal in the US to constrain AI in any way.

If the EU dares to try, it’s war.

And they call Merica a democracy when yhe ruling party of a state can rig the voting boundaries to ensure they stay in power.
Minorities make up 60% of Texas’s population and even drove 95% of the state’s growth in the most recent Census. Yet their new map cuts their share of districts from 34% to 21%.

Advocates say that’s no accident.

And I do wonder how things would be different (better?) If the electoral collage had matched the popular vote in 2016.
She’s right again, you know. She usually is.

Hmmm, not sure, Power cut seems to have been caused by Privatisation. The moisture fault triggered an alarm years before but Nat Grid didn't do any maintenance work, cuz you know it's expensive and shareholders need them to keep costs down cuz you know profits and dividends.
As Heathrow power cut is found to be caused by a fault in the substation, Richard Tice offers a full apology for blaming net zero.
Just kidding! Lying gobshites don't do apologies.

Channel 4 News has reported that Keir Starmer only took one broadcaster with him on his trip to Albania, guess who?

GB News…

What THE ACTUAL FUCK?!

So they were the only broadcaster to see the Albanian PM pie him.

Again, great call lads.

It's because he sees it as just another deal so he uses whatever leverage he has to get his way and doesn't care who ends up being collateral damage as long as he perceives it as being to his advantage.
🚨BREAKING: Ukraine agrees to immediate 30 day ceasefire, BUT Russia must agree first.

US will also now restart intelligence sharing & security assistance.

So what was the point of removing that support for a week. Spite? Dozens of Ukrainians are dead as a result. Blood on Trump’s hands.

And now it looks like Trump is throwing Ukraine under a bus and going to cosy up to Putin. Next step cancel US sanctions and let business rip. Russia free to sell oil and gas and Trump happy if they buy loads of American crap.
