The King County Council celebrated Korean American Day, marking 123 years of history and contributions since Korean immigrants arrived in 1903. With over 45,000 Korean Americans in the county, their cultural, civic, and economic influence is significant.

I’m proud to honor this rich heritage.

The very best part of my job - delivering things that make people happy and their lives easier. Congrats to the team @sound-transit.bsky.social whose creativity and hard work got the Federal Way extension open ahead of schedule!
The extension to Federal Way gives commuters a new way to avoid Interstate 5 traffic and puts light rail in striking distance of Pierce County and Tacoma.
New light rail stations open wth parties — and hopes for easier commutes

Transit safety isn’t optional, it’s a necessity.

This week, CM Balducci led a Transit Safety Report briefing—a blueprint built with operators, safety experts, & community leaders.

Now it's time to turn these recommendations into action.
