Her proposal ensures that the value of Harbor Island Studios to the region’s creative economy is fully assessed, while also providing short term funding to sustain operations. 🚶🚲🚌🦼 Over 30% of King County residents don’t drive—and yet most of our transportation system is built for those who do. That’s why the King County Council has proclaimed Sept. 30-Oct 5 the Week Without Driving—to better understand and address these challenges. #WeekWithoutDriving

Yesterday at the Sound Transit Board meeting, I questioned the necessity of an additional tunnel downtown—from CID Station to Westlake—so we could save money and better tackle the agency's financial challenges.

I’m fully committed to delivering the light rail network our region deserves.

Today we broke ground on our region's first all-electric Bus Rapid Transit facility in Bothell! This Sound Transit maintenance hub will support 48 battery-powered buses. Stride BRT promises to reduce travel time and emissions, connecting more communities to light rail, jobs, & more. #SoundTransit

The proposed legislation calls for a policy that:

This commonsense update grew out of community conversations ahead of the Downtown Redmond Link Extension opening. With more non-drivers heading to places like Marymoor Dog Park, it’s time our rules reflect reality: dogs are already riding, despite unclear guidance. 2/4

🚍✨ In response to the 2023 Transit Cleanliness Report advocated by Balducci, the 2025 county budget added $4.7M to boost bus stop & vehicle cleaning. Now because of the amazing contributions and hard work of @kingcountymetro.bsky.social employees, it’s getting better.

The LRV is now approaching one of the eight track bridges that connect the land side of the bridge to the floating section. This unique engineering that will enable light rail trains to travel across the floating bridge is why in 2017 ST received a Popular Science 2017 Best of What's New award.

The King County Council has proclaimed May as Therapeutic Court Month. Since 1999, we've led with mental health courts and added a veteran's court in 2012. I'm honored to have promoted the expansion of community court systems, fostering healing for people and communities. #MentalHealth
