Her proposal ensures that the value of Harbor Island Studios to the region’s creative economy is fully assessed, while also providing short term funding to sustain operations. Since the end of the pandemic Harbor Island Studios has been a hub for creativity, supporting local film and media production in King County. When recent budget changes threatened to close its doors, Councilmember Claudia Balducci stepped forward with an amendment to keep the studios alive. 1/3

Yesterday at the Sound Transit Board meeting, I questioned the necessity of an additional tunnel downtown—from CID Station to Westlake—so we could save money and better tackle the agency's financial challenges.

The LRV is now approaching one of the eight track bridges that connect the land side of the bridge to the floating section. This unique engineering that will enable light rail trains to travel across the floating bridge is why in 2017 ST received a Popular Science 2017 Best of What's New award.
