I would also - as sort of a politics 101 - ask who is acting & who is reacting
I think at this point folks should judge the result of negotiations & the relative positions of the two countries economically & in the world.

I think it's weird to call the PM out daily on a process that clearly wasn't going to happen fast/well, & is with an entirely untrustworthy trade partner.

On the off chance there are university students or prospective university students on this app, may I highly recommend wandering into your student newspaper's office?

Crap. That’s the same time as the StatsCan presentation.

How could the PM do this?!

Do it for democracy …
OK HEAR ME OUT: As the snow begins to fall for a second day, Toronto should call in the Canadian Armed Forces to help the city handle the snowstorm.

This would be good for national unity.

This would provoke important conversations about our national military capabilities.

This is good for Canada.

Is something I wonder how many of my colleagues around the country can say …

Or even how many of them have access to a chalk board.

If the Liberals have indeed secured any new floor crossers from the CPC, it appears they are going to wait & let the CPC convention re-affirm Poilievre's leadership before announcing.

A good way to interfere with a future domestic election would be for a current government to establish a police force that has carte blanche to arrest any citizen at any time for any reason.

Hey, anybody I know on here have experience with nonfiction book editing and/or ghostwriting?

Looking to help out a friend find some info for an interesting project. Could turn into a good gig for a freelancer.

I'm sure there are some people in my orbit on here who work in that space.

Yes. Beware parties/leaders who want to curtail the rights of MPs to decide which side of the House to sit on, & how to vote.

In similar sense, this is the “when in opposition, you can’t afford to be petty” point.
If you make a speech to say, "You don't know how good you have it," you're in trouble. Biden did it a lot. People don't like being told down is up, either.
