I wrote this 3 years ago today. Nothing I have seen since has changed my mind. But it will, of course, not happen. We will NOT defeat Putin - western politicians just want this war 'to go away.' It will - eventually - but as long as Putin stays in power, it will never 'go away' for long.....1/2

That's not actually true. It means a great deal to the Ukrainians already living in the occupied territories. The stories I've heard coming out from those regions are harrowing. Genocide on a massive scale.
