When I sit down to write, the whole crew gathers around 🐶🐈🐈. Doesn’t take long for Dax to start chasing the kitties but we have a few nice moments together. Gemma and Leo have come out of their shells! They have zero fear of the dog. They can still be skittish but have definitely warmed up.

Today is 9 years since my diagnosis with stage 3B breast cancer. This was taken a few months later, on a break between chemo sessions. I forgot today was my cancerversary until my bestie just reminded me! I never thought that would be possible. Cancer used to be constantly on my mind.

Love this boy! He’s written two books on my laptop. A fictional story called “Cyber Night” and “A Kid’s Life,” loosely based on his own adventures (& misadventures 😅). They’re substantial & creative! When he’s not writing, he illustrates. I said he should publish them. Would you read a book by Eli?

Our furniture distribution weekend at the American Legion will now feature Santa and Mrs. Claus passing out toys to the kids and posing for photos with them 🎅🤶🎄. The American Legion told us that families are coming in looking for holiday decorations but the few things they have are old and broken 😞.

This is our street after the Palisades fire. Thousands in the Pacific Palisades, Malibu and Altadena have similar photos of the charred remnants of their homes and neighborhoods.
Many of our fellow Angelinos are hurting this holiday season, especially those who were hardest hit by the LA fires.
