@theguardian.com great article on ferritin deficiency but I wish you’d found space to cover ADHD. It’s very typical to have low ferritin with this condition - double whammy for the concentration. People really should get automatic ferritin tests on ADHD diagnosis.

@lrb.co.uk Jackson Lears on The Righteous Community seems to resonate completely with the broken faith-based communities of Hawthorne. A nation of fear and superstition whose sociological transition into the modern world has been cynically stunted by its leaders? Discuss… (sorry so far behind!)

Questions and answers, @lcefuk.bsky.social , questions and answers. Your party is failing on decarbonising a sector that is mired in public health and environmental calamity and inequality, and you just stack failure upon failure, failure in aerospace upon failure in surface transport.
Our numbers are going up and up.

We're winning elections right across England & Wales.

We don't have time to mess around.

@lcefuk.bsky.social summit looks more than slightly hollow with airport expansion going through. Vision, determination, needed - instead we have a flock of sheep wandering aimlessly towards a climate cliff. Irresponsible and inappropriate and nowhere near governing standard, honestly.

not impressed at all.
So GM's latest initiative for walking, wheeling and cycling is #CyanLines, which is a series of routes to connect the city's blue/green spaces cyanlines.com

I'm a regular user of blue/green spaces, largely on bike, but also on foot. So I'm definitely supportive of the scheme. But... 🧵

Naivety and optimism* are responsible for how many KSIs ever year? See also Paint is nor protection. *I’m being very generous. it’s really abject failure to fix evident road danger. Drivers swing into this gap round other drivers waiting to turn right.

A few weeks ago, I wandered down to Clapham in South London for a chat with Conor of Global Cycling Network to help peel back the layers of a junction dubbed as one of Britain's most dangerous for cycling.

Can we extent collision reporting improvements to rail incidents? A vehicle didn’t just hit a bridge. A person driving hit the bridge with their vehicle. Drivers matter, right @thameslink.bsky.social ?

@radio3.bsky.social please stop the national lottery level introductions of all the proms artists??? It’s offputting. Something about their interpretation or where else you can hear them, but not ‘the 157th time they’ve been here and the 78th with Fred the guest associate conductor’ - thanks…

The 21st century will go down as the time when we had all the tech we needed but not the will to make it available to people who need it. Transport for Wales TrawsCymru turning the lifts off at night?

This is so important and will potentially put the inclusive back into how we make our streets and places properly accessible and inclusive.
Easy to miss, but important. At @wheelsforwellbeing.org.uk we've been working towards this moment for years - the DfT has publicly announced that it is looking at sorting out mobility aid laws. 🎉 Our #MyCycleMyMobilityAid campaign looks like it is paying off.

@rantyhighwayman.bsky.social can you tell us how risk assessment features in examples like this? Link to blogpost absolutely fine
That looks so unsafe! Cycle users are meant to pull left across the front of the bus where the bus is likely at any moment to pull right across the path of the cycle user - what could possibly go wrong??

I’m with sharpening up comms around fixing travel by making it healthier and more inclusive. I’m also for pointing out that most of what we campaign for is literally fixing what we broke over the last century. The status quo is literally broken.

Saving money by walking/wheeling/cycling isn’t just good for your personal finances. It means you’re not subsiding two interdependent industries that have lied and exploited and dragged the planet into climate crisis #activecities

Struggling to follow Rachel Reeves’ claim that the #LowerThamesCrossing is a turning point for national infra. Throwing unreal money at massive schemes that worsen traffic and yet again failing to invest in community travel up and down the country is a 60-yr-old broken record, not a new direction

Why some Londoners aren't able to access a bike...

💸 Cost: Prices are high, and a scheme like 'Cycle to Work' falls short

🏢 Space: Many live in places with stairs and limited storage

🚲 Specific cycle needed: The challenge of finding one can be great
