It's a fund that science fiction fandom has been doing for decades. One year it sends somebody from Europe to North America for a con, and the next year, it goes the other way. The con this year is the Berlin Eurocon, and I'm running to be the receipient of the fund. It's a really cool tradition.

This year is the year I've decided to try to step out of my comfort zone more often, and nowhere was that more than throwing my hat in the ring to be the #TAFF delegate. It's all done and dusted and the voting starts soon... we'll see what happens from there.

My dream decided to give me statistics about my dream before it woke me up. I don't remember much, but the "number of moon incidents" remained safely at zero, so there's that.

Back from a protest. It went very well, we must have had at least two thousand -- if not more -- in a very purple area in the Sac Metro Area. I got a little overstimulated and maybe slightly too much sun, but it was a good time. #nokings

Even if you're not moved by the argument that Twitter is a rightwing cesspool thanks to its redpilled owner, the fact that foreign enemies are expressing concern that they won't be able to use Twitter to manipulate Americans anymore should be enough to warrant the exodus.
If you needed even MORE of a reason to switch to Bluesky, China is "troubled" by the fact that they've invested so much time on Twitter buying ads, bots, and influencers... only to see the people they're seeking to manipulate (us) flee the site.
