It’s a sign of how insane the news cycle is these days that this historic failure of government policy got just one day of news coverage this week.

Not saying that’s right or wrong, but it’s astonishing how quickly the agenda moves on these days.
BREAKING: UK’s response to Covid was “too little too late”. Acting faster could have saved 23,000 lives in England according to the public inquiry.

Boris Johnson presided over a “toxic, sexist, chaotic culture” in No10, where rule-breaking seriously undermined public confidence.

Reform sent a leaflet (clearly due to the electoral roll because it was addressed to the 3 adults in the house).

How childish is it to use their freepost envelope to inform them that never in 1 000 000 years will I vote for them?

Barely legal is being used incorrectly as far as I can see.

Barely legal means legal but only just (i.e. over the age of consent in this case).

Below this - it is ILLEGAL, it makes no difference if it is by a week, a year or a decade. Barely illegal is not a thing.
'Barely legal' is a wild and messed-up term with an astounding amount of baggage that I invite people to stop using, especially in the context of the exploitation of children and teens.

It’s interesting how the media are ignoring one of the biggest political scandals of our time?

How much did Nigel Farage know about the payments made by the Kremlin to his colleague, Nathan Gill?

Independent bookstores are donating to food banks and organizations that help with food insecurity.

They are not the same.

It feels strange tonight.

Daughter 1 started uni last month. Daughter 2 is staying with a friend. This is the first time in 18 years we have been child free without arranging babysitters.

It’s hidden away on BBC, no headline on Sky

Please... for the love of all that is good, do not share it on all your social media channels... because it simply wouldn't be done to remind the world of the association

Angela Rayner accidentally pays less tax than she should have, resigns, and the media gives her hell.

Nigel Farage deliberately pays less tax than he should have, and the media gives him a free pass.

That, right there, is the problem.
