I worry my niece and nephew are going to be 2 such Reform voters (if they can be bothered to vote in the next election) because they listen to my GB News watching brother in law and don't take an interest in the news / politics or question anything.

And when you can charge at home, the latter is irrelevant. Depending on your journeys the former can be a bit irrelevant too.

Mine has quite a small range, but when I typically only use 15-20% a day it isn't an issue.

It was a pain when we didn't have a charger though.

Thanks for reminding me to post mine. I have written a lovely note to point out that I never have any intention of voting for them (or words to that effect).

Not a 'no' then.

Wow. Just Wow.

I like your thinking!

That also crossed my mind. They have wasted money sending it out - happy to waste more of their money making them pay for the envelope 😀

No it's probably me not reading properly. My brain has clocked off for the day.

It's just a shame you couldn't fully recoup costs.

I suppose it's better that way though than touts being able to sell tickets for extortionate prices.

Were you able to sell for the price you paid? By that I mean could you recoup any booking fees and admin charges (how are these 2 separate things?!) added on?

They said they wouldn't move anyone in the first 2 weeks.

Luckily, she had a flat mate to encouraged her to come out with them. And her flat had become the one others gather in. Without this, I suspect she may have been one of those struggling.

It does feel that more can be done. #3

It's a fairly small uni in a small city and they run trips to bigger cities, but also hiking, ice skating, cooking sessions, craft events etc.

But - on moving into her flat, she was the only girl out of 7 (plus 1 empty room). We spoke to the staff about her options. #2

This is really interesting. Back in the 90s, I was in catered halls with shared bathrooms. At meal time, it became a thing to knock on everyone's doors in the block and go together. Events in our halls were arranged every month or so.

Fast forward 28 years and my oldest has just started uni. #1

You know what would save money? Hourly pay for MPs like Farage - if I don't turn up for work I don't get paid. Why should it be different for him?

One of our local stores has a glass front so the letters WH Smith were fixed to bars. They have kept the bars and replaced the letters - except they are smaller and it looks a state.

And after busses, shopping centres, leisure centres, hospitals and supermarkets?

About 10 years ago a man was stabbed in the supermarket in my home town. It's not somewhere I have ever felt unsafe either before or since

Personally, I like Swizzles. They hit the sweet spot of being far enough down the chain that I don't mind if they all go, but are nice enough that I am happy to eat leftovers.
