i feel bad because my mom, still early in her watch of the pitt, told me last weekend that her favorite character is langdon 😞

when kate first asked me if i wanted to cover the pitt I was like, ummm Idk I have a fear of medical shows (tho i did not mention this to her lol). then I watched the trailer and locked in. glad I did because holy shiiiiit what a great first season. gonna miss my pitt family
TV has not been this good and this consistent in a LONG time - The Pitt is amazing.

Read @kateypretzel.bsky.social's review - she's covered every episode of The Pitt for us, and it sums up exactly why you should watch this MAX Original.
The Pitt Season 1 Review: Real TV Is Absolutely Back
The Pitt Season 1 relies largely on creating a dance of procedures and characters every episode, and it does with a calm precision.

The TV section is my sort of home base at iBd and I love our end of year list! There was so much good TV this year, we could have easily done a top 20. Shout out to our fearless leader and my partner in podcast crime @kateypretzel.bsky.social 🫡

Emilia Pérez Hates Mexico - But Why Tho?
Jacques Audiard's ‘Emilia Pérez’ is a deeply offensive movie towards México with its shallow and unauthentic representation.

work is done, I'm free for the year 😭😭😭. never thought the day would come. It's been a really wild fucking year with lots (and lots and lots) of downs work-wise, so I'm so glad to be done.

it's my last day of work today and I have things to do for sure but I'm also like, whatever. it's a January 6th issue as far as I'm concerned

every time I go on Tumblr I'm haunted by the supposed cemetery car scene and how I didn't follow up on that part 😱

but I also get a little kick out of it, like yeah, people are talking about and writing fic about it because of me kinda lol

Games Journalism is like fewer than 40 people now. Magazines are basically gone and websites are not far behind. None of this is a surprise, but it's incredibly sad. We had something awesome for a while there. Younger generations have no idea what they missed out on.

It sucks, but after 17 years my time at Film School Rejects – and FSR itself – has apparently come to an end. It’s a changing online landscape and tough out there, but I still didn’t expect our founder/publisher to walk away from it all late last year and never look back. 1/6

It's been very hard to mourn Film School Rejects, a site that opted for a fade so slow that it was hard for anyone - staff and contributors included - to even realize it was gone. I stopped working there last December after 6 years and haven't known how to talk about it since. I'm glad Rob is now. 🧵

i said this in the podcast but let me just say it here too .. I do disagree with myself when I said buck asking Tommy to move in was an indicator of character development. It's weird because it's couched in buck learning a bunch of things and making a decision that at first seems like the right one

reviewed the second season of Based on a True Story for @butwhytho.net . I struggled with this one. it's funny, and tom Bateman carries the show. But idk what it wants to say about true crime honestly.

Based On A True Story Season 2 Review - But Why Tho?
While Based On A True Story Season 2 is certainly entertaining, it remains indecisive on how it wants to address the true crime industry.
